HC Deb 14 January 1985 vol 71 c18W
Mr. Alex Carlile

asked the Attorney-General whether he has any proposals for extending the availability of legal aid to tribunals: and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

Advice and assistance under the green form scheme is available, subject to means, to those involved in tribunal proceedings. This does not extend to representation. Legal aid or assistance by way of representation is available for proceedings before the Lands Tribunal, the Commons Commissioners, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and mental health review tribunals. There are no present plans to extend these to other tribunals.
