§ Mr. Ashleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list, in rank order according to the amount received, the disabled organisations currently receiving an annual grant from his Department, giving the level of grant for the last financial year and the number of years for which a grant has been paid; and, for the five organisations receiving the largest grants, if he will provide the following information (a) objectives and functions and (b) annual income.
§ Mr. NewtonInformation in the form requested could only be given at disproportionate cost. I would however refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley (Mr. Foulkes) on 22 June 1984 at columns316–20 when I listed grants made to voluntary organisations in the financial year 1983–84. The list includes the disabled organisations and comparable information has been published in the Official Report for earlier years—for 1982–83 on 26 July 1983 at columns 1028–32 and for 1981–82 on 11 May 1982 at columns 588–92.
