HC Deb 28 February 1985 vol 74 c247W
22. Mr. Dormand

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many complaints have been registered against the police as a result of the miners' strike; and in how many of these complaints the inquiries have been completed.

Mr. Giles Shaw

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given earlier today to a question from the hon. Member for Cynon Valley (Mrs. Clwyd).

46. Mr. Harris

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the policing of the miners' dispute.

Mr. Giles Shaw

I am glad to reaffirm our full support for the police in the action they are taking to maintain order and to ensure that those who wish to exercise their right to go to work are able to do so.
