§ Mr. Norman LamontThe expected contribution from the European Regional Development Fund is taken into account in planning our total expenditure on regional industrial aid, and that expenditure is higher than it would be without the Community funds. The expected amounts of ERDF assistance are shown in the public expenditure White Paper alongside planned levels of domestic expenditure under the same programme headings.
