HC Deb 27 February 1985 vol 74 c197W
Mr. Foulkes

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what consideration is taken of the funds available for regional assistance from the European Economic Community when allocating funds for regional aid.

Mr. Norman Lamont

The expected contribution from the European Regional Development Fund is taken into account in planning our total expenditure on regional industrial aid, and that expenditure is higher than it would be without the Community funds. The expected amounts of ERDF assistance are shown in the public expenditure White Paper alongside planned levels of domestic expenditure under the same programme headings.
