§ Mr. MacfarlaneNo. Fluoridation schemes have been in operation in various parts of the country for up to 30 years and there is no evidence that the addition of fluoride at a concentration of one part per million has had any effect on the corrosive properties of the water. An American water works association manual on fluoridation states that there has been no reported instance of pipeline corrosion in the United States traceable to the fluoride content of water.
