§ Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many applications for felling licences for broadleaved woodlands clearance were rejected by the Forestry Commission in 1982–83, 1983–84 and 1984–85 to date against the advice of the Agriculture Ministries and Departments.
§ Mr. John Mackay[pursuant to his reply, 14 February 1985, c. 243]: The Agriculture Departments do not normally provide the Forestry Commission with advice on whether felling licence applications should be granted for the conversion to agricultural use.
