HL Deb 14 February 1985 vol 460 c384WA
Lord Evans of Claughton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What action they intend to take to ensure that the Isle of Man-Liverpool ferry does not close down in the light of proposals from the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company to move its operation to Heysham.

Lord Brabazon of Tara

The proposals are being considered by the Director-General of Fair Trading, who is in touch with the two companies. He will in due course submit his advice to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry.
