HL Deb 14 February 1985 vol 460 c379WA
Lord Aylestone

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What are their proposals with regard to community radio such as allocations of wave band frequencies and strength of signals; the amount and content of advertising permitted; the amount of recorded music permitted; and general overall control.

The Minister of State, Home Office (Lord Elton)

As I informed the House on 23rd January in reply to a Question from my noble friend the Lord Orr-Ewing (at cols. 372–373), there is a range of matters concerning community radio on which decisions need to be taken, and we hope to make a further statement before too long in the light of our study of how the development of community radio can best be taken forward.
