asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what new initiatives he proposes to take to improve the quality of food.

Comprehensive legislation already exists regulating the safety, quality and labelling of food. Regulations are kept under review so that appropriate initiatives can be taken in response to new developments.
