asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if there will be any change in entry clearances fees for 1986; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Eggar

Yes. With effect from 1 January, entry clearance fees will be increased and amended as follows:

£
Visitors (including students, passengers in transit, working holidaymakers and au pairs) 12
Multiple entry clearances in the above categories 24
Applications lodged on behalf of those applying for settlement or long-term stay in the United Kingdom 25

The last fee will be non-refundable.

Transit visas will be subsumed into the visitors grouping.
