§ Sir Keith JosephI last met the University Grants Committee on 1 November 1984 when a number of issues were discussed, including the committee's advice, 363W published in September 1984, on "A Strategy for Higher Education into the 1990s". Since that date I have had several meetings with the chairman of the University Grants Committee.
