§ 28. Mr. Penhaligonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has any plans to add further species of animal to the list of protected species under the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
§ Mrs. RumboldI have no plans to do so at present.
I am. however, awaiting advice from the Nature Conservancy Council, which is conducting a quinquennial review of the operation of schedule 5 to the Act. I expect to receive its advice next year.
