HC Deb 02 December 1985 vol 88 c84W
Mr. Golding

asked the Paymaster General why, in view of the facts that the certification officer recorded in May that 27,827 members of the National Communications Union were contracted out of the engineering group political fund and in the ballot on maintenance of the fund 17,757 members voted against, his Department issued a press notice stating that the National Communications Union had recorded more votes against its political fund than there were members contracted out at the time of the ballot.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

I made a mistake. I apologise.
