Pirie is employed in the Department of Trade and Industry; and if it was known when he was appointed to his present position, that he had been an official of the National Socialist Movement and of the National Front and that he had been convicted for trying to equip a private army for political purposes.
§ The Prime MinisterMr. Pirie is employed as an export market research adviser; it was known that he had Fascist affiliations; it was not known that he had a conviction, and he was entitled, under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, not to disclose this fact.
