§ The Prime MinisterThe Soviet ambassador has communicated an oral invitation to us to send a small delegation to the ceremonies in Moscow commemorating the end of the war. We asked for clarification of the nature of the events to which the delegation was being invited. Our response will be considered in the light of this clarification. We shall also be discussing these matters with our partners and allies.
