§ Mr. Peter Bruinvelsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on relations between the new Sudanese Government of General Inwar Dahab and the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. LuceThe United Kingdom has long enjoyed close and friendly relations with the Government and people of Sudan and we hope that these will continue. We are closely studying recent developments. Her Majesty's ambassador in Khartoum has already had two useful meetings with General Sowar el Dahab.
