§ Mr. Winnickasked the Prime Minister whether, in the consideration she has given to changes in the rating system, she has taken fully into account recent reports on this matter; and if she will make a statement on the outcome of this consideration.
§ The Prime MinisterThe local government finance studies currently in progress are taking into account all reports which appear to be relevant to their work. There is still further work to be done over the next few months and there will be opportunity for wider public discussion before final decisions are made.
