§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe main instruments by which my Department provides financial assistance towards job creation are regional selective assistance and, since November 1984, regional development grants under the new scheme.
Information in the form requested is not readily available and could only be provided at disproportionate cost. At present, statistics of regional selective assistance can be provided for all administrative areas in Wales but will not be available for all travel-to-work areas or for parliamentary constituencies until later this year.
