§ Mr. HayhoeFrom time to time, Customs and Excise supply information to the United States Customs Service about possible offences against United States Customs laws in connection with the exportation from the United States of America of goods subject to the multilaterally agreed embargo on strategic goods. If the United States authorities establish that irregularities have occurred they may take action under their Export Administration Act.
These exchanges of information are in accordance with a recommendation of the Customs Co-operation Council on Mutual Administration Assistance made in 1953, which has been accepted by both countries.
