HC Deb 31 October 1984 vol 65 c1072W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many corrections have been sent by the Minister for Social Security regarding incorrect information given by his predecessor in answer to parliamentary questions.

Mr. Newton

I have written to hon. Members about 11 answers. Eight of these gave numbers of refunds of voluntary unemployment deductions, which had been based on departmental statistics later found to be incorrect. The remaining three entailed errors of statistics or transcription on other matters.
