HC Deb 31 October 1984 vol 65 c975W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Attorney-General if a law officer will prosecute the right hon. and learned Member for Wimbledon (Sir M. Havers) for strict liability contempt in respect of statements made by him on 21 October on BBC Radio 4's programme "Law in Action" in relation to the trial of Mr. Clive Ponting.

The Solicitor-General

No. I have studied the transcript of the programme and I am satisfied that my right hon. and learned Friend's remarks did not constitute a contempt of court.
