§ Mr. John MacKayAt 31 March the total number of patients on hospital waiting lists in Scotland was 84,800. Waiting times for in-patients vary considerably by hospitals and by types of cases. Mean waiting times for inpatients are set out in detail for 1982 in the latest edition of "Scottish Hospital In-patient Statistics".
