§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts if he will give details of discussions which took place between the Office of Arts and Libraries and representatives of the English National Opera prior to and concerning that company's recent North American tour.
§ Mr. Waldegrave[pursuant to his reply, 30 October 1984, c. 926]: My right hon. and noble Friend discussed with the company the prospects for its North American tour. The company ultimately decided to go ahead with the tour on the basis of assurances from fund-raisers in the United States.
