§ Mr. Stuart Hollandasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs to what specific purposes the aid transfer of £100,000 made in August to the Government of El Salvador was put; and if he has any plans to increase bilateral aid to El Salvador.
§ Mr. RaisonThe Government of El Salvador have been considering what civilian supplies and equipment they wish to identify to Her Majesty's Government for purchase from the £100,000 grant offered in August. Detailed suggestions are expected shortly.
Her Majesty's Government have also agreed, with effect from 1985–86, to reintroduce a small programme of technical co-operation to provide a moderate number of training awards in the United Kingdom for El Salvadorean students.
