asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the total value of disbursements made under the aid trade provision from January until 30 September; whether he will identify the projects for which disbursements have been made; and how many new aid trade provision projects are currently under consideration by the Overseas Development Administration.

The total value of disbursements under the aid trade provision from 1 January to 30 September 1984 was £33.7 million. Disbursements were made in respect of the projects as under.

Nine projects are currently under consideration by the Overseas Development Administration (ODA) for funding from the aid trade provision. These are projects which have been formally proposed by the Department of Trade and Industry, but which have not yet been approved. This does not include small allocaions which are considered under the aid trade provision technical co-operation arrangements.
