Mr. Tom Cox

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many abortions were performed at the South London hospital for women during each of the last three years;

(2) how many abortions were performed each month during the last 12 months at St. James' hospital, Balham, London S.W.12 and St. George's hospital, Tooting, London S.W.17;

(3) what is the present waiting list for National Health Service abortions and the waiting time for women using hospitals in the Wandsworth area health authority.

We do not publish statistics about the number of abortions performed in individual hospitals for reasons of confidentiality. We do not keep central records about local NHS waiting lists for this operation.
