§ Mr. Gouldasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry on how many occasions exporters to the United Kingdom have used the flexibility provisions of the current multi-fibre arrangement bilateral agreements; and in respect of which supplier countries and products the flexibility provisions have been used.
§ Mr. ChannonUnder the flexibility provisions of the current MFA bilateral agreements supplier countries notified 410 adjustments to the 1983 quota levels. The figure for 1984 to date is 400. These adjustments cover a wide range of product categories. Individual supplier countries made notifications as follows:
