§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what has been the funding of the Liverpool school of tropical medicine in each of the past five years.
§ Mr. BrookeExchequer grants are paid to the University of Liverpool on the advice of the University Grants Committee. The university is then responsible for deciding the allocations of funds within the university. I understand that the amount made available to the school of tropical medicine by the university for recurrent and equipment costs in each of the last five academic years was as follows. (These sums include fee income for students registered for university degrees which is paid to the university in the first instance.)
