HC Deb 30 October 1984 vol 65 c934W
Mr. Favell

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has any plans to abolish the site value rule relating to compensation for non-occupier owners of houses purchased compulsorily on the grounds that they are unfit for habitation; and whether he will make a statement.

Sir George Young

The rules for compensating owner-occupiers and landlords whose unfit properties are bought compulsorily are being considered as part of the Government's review of private sector home improvement policy. We hope to publish our proposals shortly in the forms of a consultation document.
