HC Deb 29 October 1984 vol 65 c859W
Mr. Bellingham

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will make a statement about price control in respect of Channel Islands and other premium milk.

Mr. Jopling

Paragraph 2 of the Milk Prices (England and Wales and Northern Ireland) (Variation) (No. 2) Order 1984 (SI 1984/666) provides that the maximum prices specified in the order in respect of retail sale of Channel Islands milk, South Devon milk, sterilised milk, ultra heat treated milk and homogenised milk shall not apply after 3 November 1984. I have decided not to lay down a further set of prices for these milks. Accordingly, price control in respect of premium milks will expire with effect from 4 November 1984.
