(2) when the Housing Defects Act and its provisions are due to come into effect.
§ Mr. AncramIt is intended that the provisions of the Act, apart from section 28, should come into effect in Scotland on 1 December 1984.
§ Lord James Douglas-Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland who will undertake regular safety checks to defective houses following the implementation of the Housing Defects Act.
§ Mr. AncramIt is for the owners of defective housing in the public and the private sectors to make their own arrangements for any necessary periodic inspections.
