§ Mr. YoungerSince 1975 the SDA has completed 27 environmental improvement projects valued at £1.77 million in the Greenock and Port Glasgow area. The agency's expenditure plans for 1985–86 include provision for a further seven projects in the area, valued at £630,000.

§ Mr. YoungerThe agency estimates that some 600 jobs are associated with the investments which it has made since 1975 in the Greenock and Port Glasgow area.
