asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food by how many acres the estimate of all land classified as agricultural has increased or decreased in the last 12 months for which figures are available.

For England, the average annual loss of agricultural land to development or other uses for the five-year period ending June 1983 is estimated to be 14,000 hectares—35,000 acres.
