Mr. Freud

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list in the Official Report those organisations and individuals who responded to the Green Paper, "Parental Influence at School" (Cmnd. 9242); how many of these submissions supported the proposal that parents should elect, from amongst themselves, the majority of the members of school governing bodies; and if he will make a statement.
