§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasThere are no comprehensive statistics of the numbers employed in the tourist industry. A Wales Tourist Board study published in September 1977 concluded that about 83,000 were employed in the industry either directly or indirectly; and the board estimates that the numbers employed have grown since then to a figure of at least 90,000.
