HC Deb 22 October 1984 vol 65 c452W
Rev. William McCrea

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what proposals he has to alleviate congestion in Omagh, Co. Tyrone; and if he will consider a new bypass for the town.

Mr. Chris Patten

A proposal for a town throughpass has been published; it has attracted a number of objections and arrangements are being made to hold a local inquiry. No further proposals will be considered pending the outcome of the inquiry.
