asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what are the number of homes in disrepair and serious disrepair in Magherafelt, Cookstown, Omagh and Starabane district council areas.

Information in the precise form requested is not readily available. The most up-to-date information on the characteristics of the housing stock for the district council areas in question is contained in tables 9.8,9.9,9.10 and 9.11 of the 1979 Northern Ireland house condition survey (Perliminary report) published by the Norhtern Ireland Housing Executive; these tables show the number of houses in disrepair in terms of repair costs

The results of the 1984 house condition survey, which is currently under way, are not expected before the end of this year
