asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many general practitioners and how many dentists, respectively, were employed by the National Health Service in the United Kingdom at the end of March 1984.

As at 1 April 1984 there were 28,850 general medical practitioners and 16,504 general dental practitioners employed in the United Kingdom.
