asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what plans he has to hold talks with his counterparts in Warsaw pact countries; and if he will make a statement.

Within the next year my right hon. and learned Friend plans to hold talks with several of his Warsaw pact counterparts either in their capitals or in London. My right hon. and learned Friend looks forward to receiving Mr. Gromyko in London next year. We believe that such meetings are an important contribution to the development of better relations between East and West.
