§ Mrs. ChalkerThe transport of dangerous chemicals in road tankers is covered by the Dangerous Substances (Conveyance by Road in Road Tankers and Tank Containers) Regulations 1981. I consider that these provisions are adequate, but. I am always prepared to consider proposals to improve them.
The Health and Safety Commission is in the final stages of consultation on proposals to extend control to all other methods of carrying dangerous substances by road. I hope to make new regulations next year.
