HC Deb 28 November 1984 vol 68 c507W
35. Mr. Frank Cook

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will take steps to investigate possible links between locations of acid rain blight and the sites of nuclear establishments.

Mr. Waldegrave

I am advised that recent research in the Federal Republic of Germany indicates that the contribution of nuclear establishments to acid deposition is negligible and that preliminary examination suggests that this result also applies in United Kingdom conditions. I will write to the hon. Member when this examination is complete.
