§ 15. Mr. Kirkwoodasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will introduce regulations to allow local offices of his Department to make single payments for items of school clothing to all claimants with dependent children in receipt of supplementary benefit.
§ Mr. WhitneyWe have no plans to do so. Education authorities in England and Wales have powers and in Scotland a duty to provide help with school clothing where they consider it necessary.
