asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what figures are available to indicate the numbers of young people taking part in the various areas of the youth training programme in Northern Ireland.

On 26 October 1984 there were 6,525 16-year-olds in full-time training schemes; 3,540 17-year-old employees training with employers; and 1,758 17-year-olds engaged full-time in project work.
