§ Mrs. ChalkerNo formal identification parades are conducted in London underground stations. However, underground stations are sometimes used for less formal 359W identification procedures in accordance with Home Office circular 109/1978. The British Transport police used underground stations for this purpose on 12 occasions in the period in question. Similar procedures are also carried out by the Metropolitan police but no central record of these is maintained.
