§ Mr. Home Robertsonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the bodies which are being consulted by his Department on the subject of proposed regulations concerning the fat content of food products.
§ Mrs. FennerWe have made no proposals for regulations concerning the fat content of food products. My Department and the Department of Health and Social Security are however holding informal discussions with representatives of the food industry about the practicalities 405W of fat content labelling of food. We are also holding similar discussions with representatives of consumer organisations and enforcement authorities. Any proposals for regulations which may be made as a result of these discussions will be issued for full formal consultation in the usual way.
