asked the Secretary of State for Energy on a fuel-used basis what percentage of electricity generated by the Central Electricity Generating Board in September was from coal.

Mr. Goodlad

The latest published information available is for August. This shows that, on a fuel used basis, 35 per cent. of the electricity produced by the Central Electricity Generating Board in that month was derived from coal.

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what percentage of United Kingdom electricity supply is currently being supplied by coal-fired, oil-fired and nuclear power stations, respectively.
