HC Deb 26 November 1984 vol 68 c396W
Viscount Cranborne

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has concluded his study of the report of the Countryside Commission "A Better Future for the Uplands"; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Waldegrave

The Countryside Commission's report raised a large number of important issues. These are being carefully considered and the Government hope to be able to make a response in the earlier part of next year.
