§ The Prime MinisterAn estimate of the number of housing benefit recipients who are required to contribute to a student grant is not available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. The proposed changes to the student grant regulations should not affect the number involved, since the threshold of the parental contribution scale is to be indexed broadly in line with earnings.
