§ Mrs. ChalkerCompensation under the Land Compensation Act 1973 for depreciation in the value of dwellings by noise, vibration, smell, fumes and other physical factors caused by the use of a new or altered road may be claimed from and is payable by the highway authority which constructed the road or carried out alterations, irrespective of the source of the funds for the works.
