§ Mr. Masonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what discussions have taken place between his Department and interested parties on a salmon tagging scheme to offset salmon poaching; and if he will make a statement on the prospects for his Department sponsoring legislation on this matter.
§ Mr. John MacKayMy officials have been discussing a number of practical difficulties with various interested organisations. These discussions are continuing.
I hope that it may be possible to reach conclusions on this matter in the near future.
